Description

The GSA/FTS, on behalf of the ERDC, Vicksburg, MS, intends to issue a contract with Catepillar, Inc., of Mossville, IL, under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 through solicitation number 4THO96054239. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of Far 6.302. Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy the agency requirements. The total estimated contract value of this contract is approximately $40,000. This requirement is for comprehensive maintenance support (10/01/2004 through 9/30/2005) to include preventative maintenance and remedial maintenance for three Catepillar D3516 Package Generator Sets and is prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulations document (FAR) subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice and following the simplified acquisition procedures in FAR part 13.5. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 01-16.
