Description

Outserts, Clear, NSN: 4240-01-441-0568, P/N 5-1-2841-10; Outserts, Neutral, NSN: 4240-01-446-8851, P/N 5-1-2841-20; requirements for use on the M45 Chemical Biological Masks are being solicited. The Outserts consist of pairs of left- and right-han ded lenses molded from polycarbonate material that snap over the M45 lenses to prevent scratching. Planned issue date of the solicitation is 9 Nov 2004. The government may order up to a maximum quantity of 200,000 pair - Clear Outserts and Neutral Outser ts over the life of the contract. The estimated requirements for the Clear Outserts are 16,500 pair, and 15,500 pair for the Neutral Outserts. The solicitation is unrestricted and will result in a five year firm-fixed price, Indefinite Delivery, Indefinit e Quantity (IDIQ) contract with a guaranteed minimum quantity of 6,400 pair Clear Outserts and 5,800 pair Neutral Outserts. First Article Testing is required. This is a Best Value procurement. Past performance, price, and small business participation wi ll be evaluated. This solicitation will be issued electronically.
