Description

The Philadelphia Division of FISC Norfolk's Contracting Department intends to solicit for E-Mail, Active Directory, Domain Name Service (DNS) and Windows Internet Name Service (WINS) support services in support of the Naval Medical Information Management Center (NMIMC) located in Bethesda, MD. It is anticipated that the Navy will solicit for a Time and Materials, Labor Hour contract for a 12-month base period and four 12-month options. The estimated level of effort for the base year of this effort is 9,600 labor hours or 48,000 labor hours for the base year and all four option years. Interested vendors will be asked to submit cost and technical proposals and the evaluation for contract award resulting from the forthcoming solicitation will consider technical proposals more important than cost. The applicable NAICS Code for this requirement is 541519 with a size standard of $21 million. The solicitation shall be issued on an unrestricted basis and is open to all business concerns. In accordance with Federal Business Opportunities (FedBizOpps) Numbered Note 26, the Navy is not using the policies contained in FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, in its solicitation for the described services. It is anticipated that the solicitation for this requirement shall be posted on or after 19 November 2004 at the Navy Electronic Commerce Online (NECO) website (www.neco.navy.mil).
