- Description
- It is the Government?s intent to issue a Firm Fixed Price requirement for NSN: 8415-01-519-5201. Item: Airsave, Tether Attachment Assembly, Vest, Survival in accordance with drawing 3561AS901 Rev. A, 3561AS902 and MIL-DTL-29611. This solicitation will be issued as a Total Set-Aside for Small Business Concerns. It will include a Base Year and Two Option Years. Base year minimum quantity is 1,244 ea. Base Year maximum quantity is 4,107 ea. The minimum quantity for the two-year term options is 653 ea. The maximum quantity for the two-year term options is 900 ea. Two delivery destinations are required, New Cumberland, PA and San Joaquin, CA. All material will be contractor furnished. First Articles will be required. The First Articles shall consist of fifteen (15) units. First Article shall be approved for visual and dimensional examination. Inspection shall be in accordance with higher level inspection under ISO 9002 or ANSI/ASQC Q92. Waiver of First Articles Approval will be considered upon request on an individual basis. The solicitation will utilize Best Value Source Selection procedures. Offerors will be required to submit a technical proposal consisting of but not limited to Past Performance and DLA Mentoring Business Agreement. Solicitation to be issued on or about November 8, 2004. Closing time for receipt of offers will be on or about December 8, 2004. Important Note on Foreign Content The Defense appropriations and authorization acts and other statutes (including what is commonly referred to as The Berry Amendment impose restrictions on the DoD?s acquisition of foreign products and services. Generally, Clothing and Textile items as defined in DFARS clause 252.225-7012 and ?specialty metals? (as defined in DFARS clause 252.225-7014) must be grown, reprocessed, reused, melted or produced in the United States, its possessions or Puerto Rico, unless one of the DFARS 225.7002-2 exceptions applies.
