Description

This seed mix supply project shall be a commercial item Request for Quotes (RFQ) for the Campbell Fire aerial seeding application project on the Norwood Ranger District, Grand Mesa, Uncompahgre and Gunnison National Forest, Montrose County, Colorado. The total acreage to be seeded is approximately 2,885 acres, which includes approximately 306 acres of Ponderosa pine. 2,579 acres will be seeded with approximately 39,660 pounds of seed, and 306 acres will be seeded with approximately 4,840 pounds of seed. Seeding rate is 15.38 PLS pounds per acre. Seed specifications shall be listed in the solicitation package. It is anticipated the solicitation package shall be available no later than October 26, 2004 for download from this website exclusively (http://www.fedbizopps.gov/). This is an electronic solicitation only. The successful contractor shall furnish all material, equipment, and personnel necessary to complete this firm fixed-price project. The aerial seeding application will be contracted for separately. Pricing shall include mixing costs and delivery to Hopkins Field in Nucla, Colorado where the seed shall be stored for anticipated application in early November of 2004. This project is a total small business set-aside. See Note 1. NAICS code is 424910; small business size standard shall not to exceed 500 employees. Any prospective contractor must be registered in Central Contractor Registration (CCR) (http://www.ccr.gov/) in order to be eligible for award. Registration requires a DUNS number and may take up to two weeks to process. Registration in CCR immediately is recommended in order to be eligible for timely award.
