Description

The USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) and the USDA Farm Service Agency (FSA) have a sole source requirement for the lease of approximately 3000 square feet of office space located in Homer Alaska. A market survey revealed that all space within the city limits of Homer Alaska did not comply with USDA?s space leasing requirements or the American?s with Disabilities Act. The office space serves as a Service center housing NRCS, the Homer Soil and Water Conservation District (SWCD) and FSA. Some of the very minimal requirements for this space include 1) location within the city limits of Homer Alaska; 2) Comply with the ADA (if 2 story must have elevator, access ramps, electronic door opening system, etc.); 3) paved parking lot; 4) and wired for CCE. NRCS will enter into a lease with current landlords of the facility they are located in if there are no objections by November 15, 2005 for one base year and four option years.
