Description

The Veterans Administration is seeking to award a contract to provide Fire Suppression Services to Leavenworth VAMC and Leavenworth National Cemetery. Questions concerning this RFP shall be directed to Constance Forge, Contracting Officer, 913-758-6483. Contractor is required to respond to all emergency calls and fire alarms; provide 24 hours per day, seven (7) days per week and 365 days per year coverage. The maps for Appendix A, B, & C are available by contacting Steve Hogle, Leavenworth VA Facility Manager, 913-682-2000, ext. 2251. The resulting contract will be for a base year with four (4) option years. The proposed contract action is for services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within fourteen days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
