One Innovation Drive, Hanahan, SC 29406). NOTE: E-mail responses will not be accepted.The Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center - Charleston (SSC-CH), Code 70 ? Intelligence and Information Warfare Systems Engineering Department is seeking information on all available commercial, off-the-shelf (COTS) technologies in the area of Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) systems and devices for monitoring and surveillance as applied to prevention and deterrence of criminal activity, fire detection and prevention, and security enhancement and the associated hardware/software for managing these systems. SSC-CH is interested in information on current and emerging CCTV systems and technologies. Technology applied to security and critical infrastructure protection and port security is of specific interest. This information will be included in a study of CCTV systems, devices, and network technology characteristics to produce a technology guide and may result in a follow on comparative assessment and validation of vendor information for use by local, state, and Federal law enforcement agencies, civil disaster administrators, fire control personnel, and security professionals including response personnel. Determination as to information suitability will be made by SSC-CH based on the objectives identified in this request. The purpose of this announcement is to support evaluation of available CCTV systems and devices for homeland security professionals from an end user perspective and determine the capabilities and limitations of the various systems and technologies. An unclassified, user ready reference guide will be disseminated to federal, state and local agencies. Follow on comparative assessment and validation of the CCTV systems and devices may result from the COTS data provided.Review of this information is being performed for the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Office for Domestic Preparedness (ODP). ODP is responsible for enhancing the capacity of state and local jurisdictions to respond to, and mitigate the consequences of, incidents of domestic terrorism, particularly those involving weapons of mass destruction, through coordinated training, equipment acquisition, technical assistance, and support for federal, state, and local exercises.All information received will be treated as public knowledge and may be used in the study/guide; therefore, vendors should not submit proprietary information in response to this Request for Information (RFI). All data received in response to this RFI marked or designated as corporate or proprietary information will be disposed of, and the information will not be considered for evaluation. Specific information sought includes (1) a description of the CCTV system or device including size, endurance, transmission distance, hardware requirements, interface specifications and protocols, potential applications and setup constraints; (2) cost range and expected life cycle operation, training, and maintenance costs; (3) compatibility with access control or intrusion detection software, installed and optional, as well as ability to integrate emerging technology; (4) night/day operation; (5) data transfer ability/specifications; (6) for wireless applications, antenna equipment and expected geographic coverage area; (7) a listing of current users (with point of contact) or, in the case of emerging technologies that have not yet been introduced into the market, organizations that have placed orders for the system, device, or technology; (8) installation and support specifications and requirements; (9) the name and phone number/e-mail address of the individual that potential users should contact for more information on the CCTV product; and (10) websites or brochures with diagrams, drawings and graphics that would assist the user in understanding the tool, device, or system. This announcement is for information gathering purposes only. Submittals: Respondents are invited to provide information in the form of product brochures, press releases, technical specification sheets, independent assessment results, reprints of trade journal articles, etc, although electronic media are preferred (CD, diskette, or internet link). Submissions should include complete data sheets, pertinent company information, including contact person, phone number, and fax number and e-mail address.
