- This is a modification to the synopsis NNA04078953R entitled Aerospace Information Technology, which was posted on September 28, 2004. You are notified that the following changes are made: (1) The title ?Aerospace Information Technology? has been revised to ?Aeronautics and Exploration Mission Modeling and Simulation? to better reflect the current requirements of the Aeronautical Projects and Programs/Systems Analysis Branch; NASA Advanced Supercomputing/Aerospace Applications Branch; and ARMY/NASA Rotorcraft Divisions at ARC. (2) The general scope of work is revised as shown below. The Contractor shall perform services to enable the modeling, simulation, and analysis of systems relevant to the NASA Aeronautics and Exploration Missions as required by task order in the following technical areas: a) Aerospace systems analysis tools development and application b) Aerospace vehicle and system design and analysis c) Optimization and mission decision support tools and analysis d) Computational fluid dynamics (CFD) tools development and application e) High fidelity modeling and simulation of aerospace systems f) Integrated design and analysis framework development g) Aerospace technology portfolio analysis h) Risk analysis methods development and application to aerospace systems i) CFD analysis of computer room cooling systems j) Grid generation tool development k) Digital astronaut l) Planetary and Earth Science CFD modeling m) Computational chemistry, computational biology, and computational material science n) Support in developing Government proposals in response to opportunities announced by NASA missions, Industry, or other Government entities o) Other related areas as designated by the requiring organizations If you wish to have company information included on an interested parties listing, please email Rachel.Khattab@nasa.gov with your company name, point of contact, address, email, phone, fax and size of business. We do not anticipate holding a presolicitation conference as anticipated performance under this contract will typically be in an office environment. The Government contemplates continued use of a Cost-Plus-Award-Fee (CPAF) performance-based contract. This procurement will likely be a total small business set-aside. See Note 1. The NAICS Code and Size Standard are unchanged (541710 and 1,000 employees, respectively). NO PROPOSAL IS REQUESTED AT THIS TIME. The Government does not intend to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. See Note 26. Documents related to this procurement will be available over the Internet. These documents will reside on a World Wide Web (WWW) server, which may be accessed using a WWW browser application.
