- Description
- The Defense Finance and Accounting Service (DFAS), Contract Services Directorate, Cleveland, has a requirement to obtain technical support needed to maintain and update proprietary software for the Defense Entitlements Pay System (DEPS). DFAS intends to contract on a sole source basis with Professional Software Consortium, Inc. for support services/maintenance of the DEPS software. The DEPS software is currently licensed to the Information and Technology Directorate at DFAS Indianapolis. The contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, and materials necessary for performance which includes software maintenance, operational support, software testing, and documentation. The NAICS code is 541511 Custom Computer Programming Services. The proposed contract type is a Firm Fixed Price Purchase Order. The period of performance will be a base period and four one year options. A Justification & Approval for other than full and open competition will be processed prior to award. No solicitation will be issued. Interested parties may identify their capabilities to satisfy the requirement by Friday October 29, 2004 5:00 PM Eastern Daylight Time. This date will not be extended. All expressions of interest shall be e-mailed to frank.troha@dfas.mil to be considered by the Government. Phone calls will neither be accepted nor acknowledged. A determination by the Government not to compete this action based on this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. However, all information received will be considered by the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement or proceed on a sole source basis. This acquisition will be awarded under FAR Part 13. See Note 1.
