Description
The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division plans to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) on or about approximately 10 November 2004. Reference SOLICITATION NUMBER N68335-05-R-0013. The solicitation will appear on NAVAIR HOME PAGE www.navair.navy.mil/doing_business/open_solicitations/ . The requirement is to establish and maintain a Navy approved calibration laboratory site for the AN/APM-480/A Transponder Test, Test Set P/N 90-000-059 and 90-000-095 in accordance with U.S. Navy METCAL approved standards and using Government Furnished Equipment (GFE). Contractor shall ensure that the AN/APM-480/A production test procedure achieves a minimum of a 3:1 test accuracy ratio (TAR) with a 4:1 TAR as goal. The contractor must use new production procedures and perform necessary printed circuit board level test point checks within the AN/APM-480/A, which also includes return and insertion loss testing of antenna and cables at the frequency range 1030MHz and 1090MHz. The contractor shall host reviews/meetings with government representatives to ensure that all procedures, process and documentation satisfy the requirement of established METCAL calibration standards for the AN/APM-480/A. The contractor shall provide two engineers to support acceptance testing of IFF TACAN Calibration Test Set (USB2770) at a designated METLAB location (CORONA, Ca). After training these two engineers shall return to the contractors site and train other technicians how to use the USB2770 at the contractor?s location. Acceptance testing required.
