Description
This synopsis is being posted to both the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) page located at http://www.eps.gov and the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line (NECO) site located at http://www.neco.navy.mil. While it is understood that FBO is the single point of entry for posting of synopsis and solicitations to the internet, NECO is the alternative in case FBO is unavailable. Please feel free to use either site to access information posted by the Navy Sea Systems Command. The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD) intends to award on a sole-source basis to Minority Engineering Group, 10443 Millbank Rd., King George VA, 22485-3434, an order for Qty 10 (ten) 8-Channel Amplifiers with dual outputs. The basis of the sole source is the need for a special amplifier that splits radar signals with one split signal connected to a Radar Video Processor (RVP) and another routed back to a Radar Switch Board (RVP), has 8 inputs and 2 outputs per input (for a tota! l of 16 outputs), has 50 ohm N-Type coaxial connectors for both the inputs and outputs in order to mate with the 50-ohm coaxial connectors used in the RSB and the RVP, has a built-in test circuit that tests each of the inputs and outputs and provides an indication of proper operation and or an indication of which amplifiers(s) have failed if failure occurs, has protective circuitry for the inputs and outputs to protect the amplifier against excessive signal strengths, and is manufactured to be mounted in a standard 19-inch rack, using a 4U (7-inch height) rack space. The closing date is 4 November 2004 @ 2:00 p.m. Award is anticipated to be made by 05 November 2004. This requirement will be awarded on an all or none basis.
