Description

Purpose The purpose of this project is to establish the standards and protocol for Veterans Administration Eastern Kansas Health Care System (VAEKHCS) and VA Medical Center, Kansas City, MO for the handling and destruction of confidential documents and Plastic Pill Containers in accordance with Health Information Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) requirements. The CONTRACTOR must possess a license as confidential document destruction company and hold certification as meeting all standards as mandated through HIPPA in the handling, transportation, storage, and destruction of confidential documents. The CONTRACTOR is also expected comply with all pertinent Federal law and statutes governing labor and contracting with VA. NOTE: THIS NOTICE WAS NOT POSTED TO WWW.FEDBIZOPPS.GOV ON THE DATE INDICATED IN THE NOTICE ITSELF (28-OCT-2004); HOWEVER, IT DID APPEAR IN THE FEDBIZOPPS FTP FEED ON THIS DATE.
