Description
The Department of State?s National Foreign Affairs Training Center, Foreign Service Institute (FSI) provides training and professional development to personnel of the Department of State and the Foreign Service community. The Political Training Division of the School of Professional and Area Studies (SPAS) at FSI conducts over 22 courses in three major areas: Global and Multilateral Issues, Negotiation, Political. The FSI/SPAS Political Training Division is seeking a contractor to design and deliver a three (3) hour presentation on the benefits to post from hosting high-level visits and the organization, logistics, and protocol involved in supporting such visits. This presentation will be conveyed in a lecture format entitled ?VIP Visits,? and will be delivered in up to ten course offerings of the Political/Economic Tradecraft Course (PG-140). These lectures for Foreign Service Officers (FSOs) who will be assigned to diplomatic missions overseas and serving in Political, Economic, or combined Political/Economic sections. The class size will be approximately 20-50 people. FSI wishes to establish a base plus two (2) option years contract. The projected dates for FY 2005 are as follows: 1. 11/08/04? 12/01/04 2. 01/06/05 - 01/28/05 3. 02/14/05 ? 03/04/05 4. 03/14/05 ? 04/01/05 5. 05/09/05 ? 05/27/05 6. 06/06/05 ? 06/24/05 7. 07/05/05 ? 07/22/05 8. 07/25/05 ? 08/12/05 9. 08/15/05 ? 09/02/05 10. 09/06/05 ? 09/23/05 All interested parties, please respond in writing to wilkersondm@state.gov by November 4, 2004.
