Description

The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Xerox Corp, Washington, D.C. under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b) Soliciting from a Single Source, for installation/configuration of (1) leased Xerox 6155 production printer and (1) leased Xerox 6135 production printer with Avanti Graphic Arts Management software packages, containing the following modules: a) the executive; b) order entry; c) electronic accounting and scheduling interface; d) job costing/standard reports spooler; e) customized chargeback reporting; and, f) system utilities. A 6-user system manager license and a 6-user Pervasive SQL V8 client/server database license plus training is included. As the source of the leased equipment being modified, only Xerox is capable of arranging for the software implementation and configuration between the (2) production printers and existing Xerox b&w and color copiers. A fixed price delivery order will be issued on or about Nov. 29, 2004. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement, in writing, no later than the response date. Written responses to this synopsis shall contain sufficient documentation to establish a bona fide capability to fulfill this requirement. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. This notice of intent is not a Request for Quotation nor is it a request for competition.
