Description
Recommended Contract Performance Specifications 1. Provide on-site inspection and measurement of vehicles and equipment at Fort Lewis WA, to include survey and consultation with unit leaders, operators, and maintenance personnel. Unit will coordinate availability of Soldiers for surveys and consults. List of vehicles/equipment: 4 Seat HMMWV, 2 Seat HMMV, Ambulance,FMTV, 5T Cargo, 2-1/2T, 20T Dump,M916/M920, 5T Tractor, PLS, HEMTT Cargo, HEMTT Fueler, HEMITT Wrecker, SEE, Scraper, Grader, Bucket Loader (CAT 175B), and Bucket Loader (Cat MW24C) 2. Design of door, window, and troop carrier area protection against fragmentation from 155mm artillery rounds detonated from a distance of 5m, and penetration from 7.62mm rifle rounds. 3. All plant, labor, and materials to manufacture and deliver protective systems to Ft Lewis, WA, Cp Shelby, MS, and Afghanistan IAW attached vehicle distribution list. 4. On-site instruction for maintenance personnel and operators on installation, removal, and maintenance of protective systems. 5. All protective systems must be designed, constructed, and applied as a temporary modification to the specified vehicles or equipment. Designs cannot constitute a permanent modification any vehicle or piece of equipment. 6. All systems must be designed to minimize weight added to the vehicle or piece of equipment IOT maintain minimum payload or weight restrictions IAW applicable Technical Manuals (TMs). 7. Systems must be available at Fort Lewis, WA and Cp Shelby, MS NLT 15 January 2005. Systems designated for shipment to Afghanistan must be shipped NLT 15 January 2005. 8. Specification on vehicle/equipment will be faxed or emailed upon request.
