Description
Contract Number: N00421-04-C-0007. THIS SYNOPSIS IS FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY. The Naval Air Systems Command Aircraft Division (NAVAIR AD) at Patuxent River, MD, intends issue a modification to Contract N00421-04-C-0007 on an other than full and open competitive basis with Cryptek, Inc., 1501 Moran Road, Sterling, VA, for additional integration support of the Joint Engineering Data Management Information and Control System (JEDMICS) Web Security Systems, and to accelerate the Commercial Communication Security (COMSEC) Evaluation Program processes for several regional allies on behalf of the United States Pacific Command?s (PACOM?s) Coalition Wide Area Network (COWAN). The purpose of this security system is to give JEDMICS system users the capability to securely access engineering drawings & related technical data, and the ability for exchange of classified and unclassified data within PACOM?s coalition wide area network. Cryptek, Inc. shall provide security products and related installation, engineering services, operational support, and testing support. This effort is within the scope of the current contract. Cryptek, Inc., is the only known responsible source that can provide the required services that: 1) meet the National Security Agency (NSA) EAL-4 level for Information Security Assurance; 2) conform to NSA?s Communications Security requirements for encryption of information, 3) prevents unauthorized access to technical data at the network level, and 4) has been issued a National Institute of Standard and Technology (NIST) Federal Information Processing Standards (FIPS) 140-2 certification. While this notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals, interested parties may identify their interest and technical capability and submit a proposal for consideration by NAVAIR AD.
