Description

Project Title: Research Support Building (Building No. 400) Project Number: 89459 Type of Bid: Lump Sum Bid for Construction General Contractor. Statement of Work: Brookhaven Science Associates, L.L.C. (BSA) is accepting bids for a General Contractor to provide the required labor, materials and services necessary to construct the Research Support Building (RSB) in strict accordance with Brookhaven Specification Number 9713A dated 10/22/04 and drawings listed therein. In general, the work consists of, but is not limited to, construction of a two-story steel framed office building. Exterior closures, interior finishes, mechanical and electrical systems, site utilities, paving and site improvements are required as part of the work. The building will be approximately 65,000 gross square feet, providing space for 150 staff members. The estimated construction cost is $10,000,000 to $15,000,000. This work has been determined to be covered by the Davis-Bacon Wage Act. All wages for covered workers must be at the prevailing wage rate. Bid documents will be available on or about November 15, 2004 and can be purchased by sending a certified or bank check for $100 to: Brookhaven Science Associates, L.L.C., P.O. Box 5000, Procurement and Property Management - Bldg. 355, Upton, NY 11973-5000, Attention: Philip Gardner (for RSB plans). A pre-bid meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, November 30, 2004 at 1:30 P.M. in Building 134C Training Room. See Bid documents for required pre-approved site access procedures.
