- Description
- The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) intends to negotiate on a sole source basis, with Rapiscan Security Products Inc., Hawthorne, CA under authority of FAR 13.106-1b, Soliciting From a Single Source, for preventative maintenance service agreement on x-ray machine model 527, S/N 7993302; items covered under this agreement include the following: parts, labor, travel, two (2) preventative maintenance per year and annual radiation safety survey. The period of performance shall be one (1) Base Year & four (4) Option years. This is a sole source requirement as Rapiscan Security Products is the manufacturer and possesses the maintenance history of the unit. A Fixed price purchase order will be issued on or about December 01, 2004. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement, in writing, no later than the response date. Written responses to this synopsis shall contain sufficient documentation to establish a bona fide capability to fulfill the requirement. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. This notice of intent is not a Request for Quotation (RFQ) nor is it a request for competition.
