Description

The U.S Army Corps of Engineers, New York District intends to issue an Invitation for Bidding (IFB) to award a contract for the Kill Van Kull Channel (S-KVK-2), Contract 1, Navigation Improvement Project for the States of New York and New Jersey. Thi s project consists of deepening of the existing 43 to 45 feet (MLW) Federal Navigation Channel System to a depth of 52 feet (MLW). The project area is located in Kill Van Kull Channel at New York, New Jersey Harbor between Bayonne and Staten Island. The project consists of the dredging and disposal of non-rock and drilling, blasting, dredging and disposal of rock. The scope of work also includes the sampling testing of subsurface materials at locations. The non-rock materials unsuitable for the HARS pla cement will be disposed at the designated Upland Disposal Facility and Confined Disposal Facility of the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey located at the entrance of Elizabeth Channel. No Award will be made unless Small Business Sub-Contracting Plan is accepted and approved. The Plan must address maximum efforts to utilize Small Business, Woman Owned S.B. Hub Zone S.B, Veteran Owned S.B., and Disabled Veteran Owned S.B. The duration of t his project is approximately 745 calendar days, to include options. This Procurement is being solicited as UNRESTRICTED. The applicable NAICS Code is 237990 with a Small Business Size of $17.0 Million. The SIC Code is 1629. Bid opening will be held in room 1841 of 26 Federal Plaza, New York. The media selected for the issuance of the synopsis/solicitation and amendments shall solely be at the discretion of the Government; acco rdingly, the media utilized for this project shall be the Internet and CD-ROM.
