Description

THE PURPOSE OF THIS AMENDMENT, AMENDMENT NUMBER TWO, TO W914NS-04-Q-0220 IS TO PROVIDE FURTHER TECHNICAL INFORMATION ON THE REQUIREMENT TO INDUSTRY AND TO ESTABLISH THE DUE DATE OF THE REVISED QUOTE. 1. The due date of the revised quote is changed to 17 November 2004. This notice is applicable only to those Offeror that made a timely response to the original solicitation. 2. During the evaluation of the quotes the evaluators determined the original specification in this requirement was in error. The specification is changed as follows: a. BOGIE: The Bombardier MD523-1 Bogies are changed to Y-23 Bogies. b. AIR CONDITIONING / HEATING SYSTEM: The specification required capable and efficient operation at outside temperatures of negative 25 degrees C. This is relaxed to negative 10 degrees C. c. HEIGHT OF COUPLER: The specification required the height of the coupler to be less than or equal to 060mm ATR. This was in error. The height of the coupler is to be 1050mm ATR, plus or minus 10mm. d. COUPLERS: The specification required UIC SA-3 couplers with buffers. The UIC reference is removed. The revised quote is due at 1700 hours, Baghdad time, on 17 November 2004.
