Description

The U.S. Department of State, Regional Procurement Support Office and the U. S. Embassy, Quito, are seeking qualified offerors for the construction of a Maintenance Workshop for Tactical Vehicles in the GCM-36 ?Yaguachi,? Ibarra, Imbabura Province, Ecuador. This project consists of 535 square meters of hangar building and 1712 square meters of vehicular and circulation areas for use by the Ecuadorian Army (Grupo de Caballeria Montada ? No. 36). The building includes a workshop for six vehicles, two storage areas, two offices, a compressor room, one bathroom, one dressing room, and an oil cleaning area. The solicitation is planned for release to qualified offerors on or about November 26, 2004, with contract award in early January 2005. It is anticipated that construction will start as soon as possible after contract award, with a performance period of approximately nine months from contract execution to substantial completion. The resulting contract type shall be firm-fixed price, and estimated value of construction is between $200,000 and $300,000 (U.S.).
