Description

Contractor shall provide all labor and materials to complete Project 568-05-203, Upgrade Elevator #4 Cylinder at the VA Black Hills Health Care System, Hot Springs, SD. The project shall consist of removing the existing hydraulic jack in existing hydraulic Elevator #4. Elevator #4 is a two-stop hydraulic elevator. Work shall consist of securing the elvator cab to the top of the hoistway, draining the oil from the system and removing the complete hydraulic cylinder assembly. After installation of the hydraulic cylinder, the new hydraulic plunger shall be inserted. A full load safety test shall be performed to ensure the proper operation of the elevator system. Construction estimate is between $25,000 and $100,000. Solicitation package shall be available approximately November 15, 2004. Requests for the solicitation package must be in writing addressed to the attention of the Contracting Officer. FAX requests may be sent to 605-745-2092. Bid opening is scheduled for December 15, 2004 at 3:00pm local time. Applicable NAICS code is 23332, Commercial and Institutional Building Construction. All responsible sources may submit a bid which will be considered. Award of this contract is subject to the availability of funds.
