NSN: 6635-01-417-2420PR P/N: 736L977G01 Noun: Metal Flaw Detector Sole Source Solicitation to: GEAE CAGE: 07482 Item Description: Kit has 2 ultrasonic probes, 2 coaxial cables, calibration standard clean blade standard, borescope fixt, blade marking brush, couplant mixing bottle container. Kit is to inspect for cracking defects, which may occur in the fan stage 2 blade dovetail pressure face on assembled engine or installed engine. Material Titanium 6-4 (AMS 4965) with a finish or copper-nickel indium and solid film lubricant. Note: The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. However, all proposals received within thirty days after date of publication of this synopsis, will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Applicable to: F110 Engine. Destination: FB2039 Delivery: March 2006 Estimated Qty: 16 The approximate issue date of the solicitation will be 22 November 2004. The approximate response date of the solicitation will be 22 December 2004. The anticipated award date will be 29 January 2005. Written and electronic procedure will be used for this solicitation. No telephone requests. Contractors must obtain a copy of the solicitation from the FedBizOpps website. This office no longer mails solicitations. Specifications, plans, or drawings relating to the procurement described are incomplete or not available and cannot be furnished by the Government. All responsible sources solicited may submit a bid, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered. Award will be made only if the offeror, the product/service, or the manufacturer meets qualification requirements at the time of award in accordance with FAR clause 52.209-1. The solicitation will identify the office where additional information can be obtained concerning qualification requirements. It is suggested that small business firms or others interested in subcontracting opportunities in connection with the described procurement make contact with the firm listed. Note: While price will be a significant factor in the evaluation of offers, the final contract award decision may be based upon a combination of price and past performance factors as detailed in the solicitation. Note: An Ombudsman has been appointed to hear concerns from offerors or potential offerors during the proposal development phase of this acquisition. The purpose of the Ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the program director or contracting officer, but to communicate contractor concerns, issues disagreements and recommendations to the appropriate government personnel. When requested, the Ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals or in the source selection process. Interested parties are invited to call the Ombudsman at (405) 736-3273.
