Description
This Center intends to award a modification to an existing contract with Unconventional Concepts Incorporated (UCI), 4525 East Hollywood Boulevard, Suite A, Mary Esther, FL 32569, to add additional effort for the provision of technical, assessment, t ransition, assistance, and engineering support serviices regarding defense technologies for the following: (1) National Protection Center (NPC) and Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA)/SBCCOM-Natick Soldier Centers cooperative technology prog ram, (2) DARPA Defense Sciences Office (DSO), (3) Program Manager (PM), Test and Evaluation/Science and Technology (T&E/S&T), (4) Deputy Assistant to the Secretary of Defense for Chemical and Biological Defense (DASD/CBD), and (5) Deputy for Research and D evelopment, Medical Research and Materiel Command. UCI will also be required to serve as facilitator and integrator between this Center and DARPA as well as the other relevant agencies in order to increase communications. The goal is to increase the abilit y to transition technologies to the field. The effort will be for a period of approximately 10 months. The level of effort is estimated at 8.7 man years. Security requirements, which require a security clearance at the appropriate level, are included. UC I has a acquired unique knowledge, experience, and expertise under the existing contract. UCI possesses the experience to implement the additional tasks required to achieve success in these highly visible programs. Also UCI has proven their ability to pro vide real-time information and contacts related to technical and operational issues involved in order to best meet the requirements for effective evaluation and transition of advanced soldier systems technologies.
