Description

This is a Pre-Solicitation Notice: The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS), Plant Protection & Quarantine (PPQ) intends to acquire general construction services to provide electrical upgrades to Building 6418 at the Moore Air Base Facility at Mission, Texas. The general construction work includes but is not limited to installation of electrical distribution equipment to include a diesel generator, automatic transfer switch, service entrance circuit breaker, and a main distribution switchboard. The Government will provide drawings and specifications of the proposed construction. All work is to be done in accordance with the statement of work, plans (drawings) and specifications. It is anticipated that a single award will be made. All effort shall be accomplished within approximately four months (one hundred and sixteen calendar days (116)) after award and the issuance of the notice to proceed. This procurement is a Small Business Set Aside which is to be awarded as a fixed price contract. The estimated construction cost is between $100,000 and $250,000. The solicitation will be available on this website: www.FedBizOpps.gov on or about January 13, 2005. The solicitation #APHIS-05-002 is to be affixed to all documents submitted in reference to this requirement. All work is to comply with the applicable local, State and Federal codes/regulations/laws and is subject to Davis-Bacon. The specifics for availability of the specifications and drawings will be reflected in the posted solicitation document (Request for Proposals) which is anticipated to be released on or about January 13, 2005. This procurement is set aside for Small Businesses under NAICs 236210 (Small Business Size Standard - $28.5 million). All responsible sources may submit an offer which will be considered. Proposals will be due no later than 4:30 p.m. local time (state of Maryland) on February 14, 2005.
