Description
The National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute intends to purchase a named brand Laser System, Model # LYT 200S, manufactured by iCyt Mission Technology, Inc., The laser system purchase includes all equipment, installation, and training. The brand name determination is based upon the capability of the iCyt Mission Technology Inc., laser system with the government owned DakoCyomation MoFlo Flow Cytometer Sorter, serial number 1245. The laser system?s specifications include: (1) does not require a cooling system such as chilled water or noisy/costly air cooling supply; (2) does not require a special plug, it plugs right into any outlet; (3) five (5) minute warm-up time; (4) no beam degradation over the lifetime of the laser; (5) no alignment or peaking of the laser; (6) has . OPSL technology; (7) GUI controller software to adjust power output from 20mW to 200mW; (8) generates very little heat, and will not cause sort room temperature fluctuation; and (9) easy plug in installation. This is the only known system that meets the government?s minimum needs. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 334510, and Size Standard is 500 employees for this requirement. This is a total small business set-aside. This acquisition is being conducted under simplified acquisition procedures. Interested vendors capable of furnishing the government with the products in this synopsis should submit (2) copies of a quotation to the below address. The quotation shall include the itemized price, commercial price list, prompt payment terms, the F.O.B. Point (Destination or Origin) Shipping cost, if applicable, business size, Taxpayer Identification Number (TIN), Dun & Bradstreet Number (DUNs), and descriptive literature of the product quoted. The Offeror must also register in the Government?s Contractor Registry System, note: www.ccr.gov . The quotation must reference ?Solicitation number? NHLBI-PS-2005-020-DDC. Quotations will be due fifteen (15) calendar days from the publication date of this synopsis or January 13, 2005, 4:30 p.m., local time, whichever is later. All responsible sources may submit a quotation, which if timely received, shall be considered by the agency. Quotations must be submitted in writing to the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute, Contracts Operations Branch, Procurement Section, 6701 Rockledge Drive, Rockledge Building 2, Suite 6042, Bethesda, Maryland 20892-7902, Attention: Deborah Coulter.
