Description

This is not a Request for Proposal or a Request for Quote. There is no solicitation document available. This is a notice of intent of the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) at Austin Automation Center (AAC) to negotiate a sole source contract with Mainstar Software Corporation of Bellevuew, WA, for continued annual software maintenance for Real Time Defrag and Catalog Recovery Plus software. The period covered is December 18, 2004 through December 18, 2005. Software maintenance includes reasonable technical support and periodic updates/releases to the software. No other source is authorized to provide software maintenance services for the proprietary software other than Mainstar. The statutory authority for this sole source procurement is 41 U.S.C. 253(c)(1). Procurement is being conducted using FAR Part 12 procedures.
