- Description
- The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) seeks a qualified firm to provide a full range of Workers? Compensation Nurse Case Management Services. The TSA workforce is currently statutorily established at 45,000 Full Time Permanent (FTP) employees located throughout the United States and its territories, including all fifty (50) States, the District of Columbia, the U.S. Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico, Guam, Pago Pago, Midway and the Mariana Islands. There will be a higher number of actual employees due to part-time and temporary personnel. As TSA?s responsibilities change to include other modes of transportation, this number may change. The majority of TSA employees are employed as Transportation Security Screeners. Job requirements for security screeners include the ability to lift 40 pounds, and for some security screeners, lifting requirements may be up to 70 pounds. As a result of job requirements, security screeners in particular are experiencing injuries and filing workers? compensation claims at a rate that is approaching 30% of the workforce. DRAFT RFP.
