Description
On behalf of the U.S. Army Environmental Center (USAEC) and in accordance with FAR 6.302-1, the Defense Contracting Command-Washington, DCC-W, intends to award a sole source contract to Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection (DEP). The MADEP will provide staff specialists that will routinely review and comment on all program materials drafted including Fact Sheets, schedules, meeting minutes and other materials. They will ensure that document submittals, document reviews, and comment r esolutions are completed in a timely manner, allowing work to proceed without delays for all sites and continued monitoring of public and residential water supplies is on going as a precaution to protect public health. The MADEP is the only source that ca n provide the service and interpretations of Commonwealth environmental laws and regulations under the Administrative Orders issued by the EPA pursuant to the Safe Drinking Water Act at the Massachusetts Military Reservation. The period of performance is for approximately 12 months. It is anticipated that the resultant contract will be a firm-fixed price contract. There is NO solicitation document. This notice is not a request for proposals. Interested firms may send a capabilities statement to the att ention of Phuong Newhart, DCC-W, 5200 Army Pentagon, Washington, DC 20310-5200. Capability statements must be received by this office within 10 days from publication of this notice. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Award is anticipated on or about 25 Jan 2005. This announcement is in accordance with FAR 5.101(A)(1).
