Description
Anticipated Issue Date: 18 January 2005. Anticipated Closing Date: 1 February 2005. The Defense Commissary Agency has a requirement for Linen/Mat Rental/Cleaning/Exchange Services for 20 commissaries located in Mid-Atlantic Region. The states covered by this requirement include: Delaware, District of Columbia, Maryland, and Virginia. The items to be serviced under this Request for Proposal (RFP) include butcher coats, shirts, pants, bib aprons and gloves, colored smocks, cobbler aprons, bar towels and various sizes of mats and dust and wet mops. Quantities of each item will be identified in the RFP, by commissary. The contractor shall be required to provide the items in a variety of sizes. The contractor shall be required to pick up from the commissary a minimum of once each week all soiled garments, mats and mops, and drop off clean replacement garments, mats and mops at the same time. The period of performance for the 20 commissaries will be 1 April 2005 through 31 March 2006 and includes four one-year options. The NAICS code is 812332 and the business size standard is $12 million. This acquisition is being issued as 35% small business set-aside, with 7 of the 20 store locations (Dover, DeCA HQ East, Langley, Little Creek, Norfolk, Oceana and Portsmouth) being set-aside for small business. The other 13 stores located in the states of District of Columbia, Maryland and Virginia are being issued as unrestricted. This RFP will be available on www.fedbizopps.gov under (ODA Other Defense Agencies). Potential Offerors are encouraged to use this web site to obtain a copy of the RFP in lieu of requesting a paper copy. Request for paper copies must be in writing and mailed to Defense Commissary Agency, Attn: CBU CICDS (Luz Rayel), 1300 E. Avenue, Fort Lee, VA 23801-1800, emailed to luz.rayel@deca.mil or faxed at 804-734-8669. All written requests must include the RFP number, requestor's name, address, phone, fax number and email. By submitting a proposal, the offeror acknowledges the requirement to be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) Database prior to award of any contract or purchase order. Information about CCR registration maybe found at www.ccr.gov. All responsible sources may submit a proposal for consideration for one or more locations. Multiple awards are anticipated.
