Description

The Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation (PBGC) is soliciting professional services related to the documentation of internal controls, testing of those controls, and related services to be performed under the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants? Statement on Standards for Consulting Services. The services to be provided would be similar in many respects to those that are required of public companies subject to the Sarbanes-Oxley Act. This contract requires substantial knowledge of accounting practices (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and the standards issued by the Financial Accounting Standards Board), Government Auditing Standards and Generally Accepted Auditing Standards, Standards for Internal Control in the Federal Government and COSO, OMB Circular A-123 and other Circulars applicable to PBGC, Federal Managers? Financial Integrity Act, and other applicable guidance. The period of performance for the base contract will be from date of award through September 30, 2005, with four one-year options for renewal at PBGC?s discretion. The solicitation document will be distributed through the FedBizOpps.gov web site. The site contains downloading instructions. All information about this acquisition, including solicitation amendments, will also be distributed through the FedBizOpps site. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring the site to assure that they have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition. The solicitation is not currently available, but is estimated to be available on or about February 7, 2005
