Description

The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst, NJ (NAWCADLKE) intends to enter into sole source negotiations with Northrop Grumman Integrated Systems, Bethpage, NY 11714-3582. The purpose of the acquisition is to update and integrate Krontron Configuration B MPDB Application & System Software Program to support NP2000 configured MPDB LRMs 77A1 and 77A2. Options to update four (4) existing MPDB Cable Sets P/N 123SAV59820-1 to new configurations and to design a modified MPDB Cable Set P/N 123SAV59820 may be exercised. The modified MPDB Cable Set, Krontron B application and system software will only support the NP2000 configured MPDB LRMs 77A1 and 77A2. The proposed acquisition is for updates and modifications to support equipment and software for which the Government does not own a complete drawing package or specifications. Northrop Grumman holds technical data rights to the support equipment and software. NAWCADLKE intends to procure these items under the authority of 10 USC 2304 (C) (1), as implemented in FAR 6.302-1. No solicitation package is available for this procurement. All responsible sources are encouraged to submit a proposal, which may be used by the Government in determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. See note 22.
