- The Bureau of Reclamation, Boulder City Regional Office, Boulder City, Nevada, intends to award on a sole source basis , a purchase order to Advanced Resource Management, 308 East Simpson St., Lafayette, CO 80026-2326. This purchase order is for continued research and writing for all interpretive media produced in conjunction with Exhibit Statement of Work for Hoover Dam Visitor Center, Boulder City, NV. Mr. Rich Smith of Advanced Resource Management (ARM) was part of the planning team that created the Master Plan for Hoover Dam Visitor Center and Grounds. He completed the research and writing for the first 12 signs to be placed on the observation deck and interior rotunda of the Hoover Dam Visitor Center. His intimate and superior knowledge of this project make him particularly well suited for this project since he has already completed initial research and writing about the topics to be included in the remainder of the interpretive media for this site. Furthermore, the geographic location of his office adds significantly to the efficiency, coordination, and collaboration of the project team and reduces costs associated with travel and expenses related to project team meetings. Mr. Rich has completed the first two phases of research and writing for this project as evidenced in the successful completion of a previous purchase order. Interrupting progress on this work at this stage with this contractor would result in significant loss to the Government. It is considered to be in the best interest of the Government to award a purchase order to Advanced Resource Management. This procurement will be awarded using Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The anticipated award date is January 24, 2005.
