- This is a Sources Sought Synopsis; there is no solicitation available at this time. Requests for solicitation will not receive a response. This Sources Sought Synopsis is published for market research purposes only, to identify potential sources capable of, and interested in, participating in the event that a solicitation is issued. Requirement: Provide a ?TURN KEY? supply store comparable to a full service, commercial retail hardware store to be performed at Langley Air Force Base (AFB), VA. A 3000 square foot facility will be provided, the contractor is expected to provide all labor, material, equipment and inventory necessary to manage and operate a turn key supply store comparable to a full service, commercial retail hardware store at Langley AFB. Historical annual sales average between $1.8 to $2.2 million per year. Primary Payment vehicle will be the government purchase card. A long-term contract is anticipated, one base year (May 05 ? May 06) and four subsequent one year options. Multiple awards are not anticipated. The applicable NAICS Code is 444130 (Hardware Stores) with a size standard of $6.0 million. Interested parties must be registered in the Central Contractor Registry (CCR) as prescribed in FAR Clause 52.232-33. Firms responding to this sources sought notice must include at a minimum: (1) name and address of firm; size/ownership of business, i.e. large, small, small disadvantaged, 8 (a), Disabled-Veteran, Veteran, Woman owned business, and Hub Zone; (2) degree of experience in providing same or similar services to include contract type, contract number, contract value, period of performance, POC and telephone number for the past four years number of years in business; (3) a point of contact with name, title, phone, fax and email; (4) Cage code and DUNS number (if available); (5) identify if you are a GSA schedule holder; affiliate contractor (if potential sub) or subcontractors (if potential prime); experience and familiarity with providing similar services; (6) The draft statement of work is attached for comments: a. identify requirements not clearly defined in the draft; b. is the draft reflective of commercial standards; and c. identify any requirements that could be modified to have an impact on discounted prices given. Because the government reserves the right to set this acquisition aside for small business, 8(a) firms, HUB Zone firms or Service-disabled Veteran-owned Small Business based on the responses it receives, it is imperative that firms respond with the required information for capabilities to be accurately evaluated.
