Description

The Marine Corps Systems Command is requesting information on a commercially available sand bag filling mechanism with the following capabilities if possible. The sand bag shall allow one Marine to fill a sand bag without additional assistance and reduce the amount of time associated with filling the bag. The sand bag shall be able to be stored flat or consume a minimal amount of space, not require tools for assembly, and not require modifications to the current sand bag. The sand bag filling system shall allow a four man team to fill 25 sand bags within a 5 minute timeframe. Vendors who believe they have a product capable of meeting the above requirements, are requested to provide information regarding their capabilities, quality assurance procedures, customer base, business size, commercial pricing, corporate point of contact, and any other relevant information. Information must be provided by no later than 8 February and materials submitted will not be returned. The submission of this information is for planning purposes only and is not to be construed as a commitment by the government to procure any items or for the government to pay for the information received. No solicitation exists at this time.
