- Description
- The Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center, Charleston (SSC Charleston) is releasing this Special Notice. Offerors and interested parties are advised that the NAVSEA Seaport Portal will be the ???mandatory contract vehicle of choice??? for Engineering, Financial Services, and Program Management. SSC Charleston anticipates the transition to SEAPORT in the May-June, 2005 timeframe. We encourage all offerors who have current or past contracts with SSC Charleston for similar services, and those eligible offerors seeking to obtain future business from us to participate in SEAPORT. Information is available at the SEAPORT Portal Website at the following URL: http://www.Seaport.navy.mil We found the FAQs for contractors and the SEAPORT Rolling Admissions links useful as an introduction and quick overview on how to participate, submit a proposal, etc. A solicitation is anticipated to be released on or about 07 FEB 2005 and close approximately 30 days thereafter. A draft of this RFP is currently posted on the Website. Important Note: This upcoming solicitation is your only chance to participate in SEAPORT at this time. Please read all instructions carefully when submitting a proposal. Keep in mind that SSC-Charleston is not the contracting office for the solicitation and therefore will not be making awards or evaluating the proposals received. Once the transition is implemented, SSC-Charleston will be an ordering office. We will have authority to compete and award task orders to eligible Multiple Award Contract (MAC) holders. Orders placed via SEAPORT will be competed among eligible MAC holders only. If you do not submit a proposal, or do not receive an award for our Zone (MidAtlantic - Zone 3) pursuant to this solicitation, you will not be able to compete for or receive a SEAPORT order from SSC-Charleston until a new solicitation is released. Excepting the solicitation referenced above, no future solicitations are currently planned.
