Description
The Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command in support of Naval Sea Systems Command, Program Executive Office Littoral & Mine Warfare (PEO LMW), Maritime Surveillance Systems (MSS) Program Office PMS 485, intends to award a sole source, cost plus award fee contract to Lockheed Martin Maritime Systems and Sensors (MS2) for: (1) A180R towed array depot maintenance and repair; (2) factory acceptance test and Quality Assurance of repaired modules for reissue; (3) reliability, maintainability and availability engineering to include preparation of Engineering Change Proposals to correct deficiencies in modules; (4) incorporation of approved ECP revisions into modules at the factory and conduct of subsequent acceptance testing and environmental screening; and (5) conduct of engineering services for maintenance assistance and training for Intermediate Level maintenance facilities in Pearl Harbor, HI and Organizational Level remote ports in the Western Pacific. Existing facilities to handle long towed array modules to include NOPAR handling, Environmental Stress Screening Test Equipment (pressure, tension, and telemetry testing), and array bench repair are required. This contract will be a bridge effort while a competitive acquisition is conducted. The approximate value of this contract is $2M, and the period of performance is nine months, with a three-month option. In accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulations 6.302-1, the Government shall satisfy this requirement via a sole source contract. Numbered Note 22 applies to this contract.
