Description

This Request For Information (RFI) is a follow-up to the announcement for Solicitation Number USA-SNOTE-040930-002 entitled  Market Research for the Digital Switched Systems Modernization Program (DSSMP) follow-on Contract for PM Defense Communicati ons and Army Switched Systems (PM DCASS) posted on 30 September 2004. As stated in the original 30 September 2004 announcement, the PM Defense Communications and Army Switched Systems (PM DCASS) intends to begin the acquisition process supporting the comp etition and award of multiple follow-on Digital Switched Systems Modernization Program (DSSMP) performance based contracts. The follow-on to the DSSMP acquisition will be entitled the Infrastructure Modernization (IMOD) acquisition and shall include a sco pe that is capable of seamlessly integrating voice, data, inside/outside cable plant and/or transmission products and services into a single integrated communications system. Site preparation and initial logistics support, to include training, will also b e included in the scope. Under Solicitation Number USASNOTE04093-0001, the Government has posted a Request for Information (RFI) along with Questions for Industry and a Draft Statement of Work (SOW) inclusive of Attachments A and B on the Army Single Face to Industry (ASFI) Acquis ition Business Web Site - https://acquisition.army.mil/asfi. It is hereby requested that Interested Contractors access this website, review all three documents and submit comments related to the Questions for Industry by no later than 11 February 2005 an d comments related to the Draft SOW by no later than 18 February 2005 to Ethan Mueller, ITEC4 via e-mail at ethan.mueller@itec4.army.mil. Please thoroughly review all three documents and follow all of the instructions contained in the Request for Informat ion before e-mailing your comments. The Government will continue to notify Industry of all announcements and postings related to the IMOD acquisition. The Army Single Face to Industry (ASFI) Acquisition Business Web Site will continue to be the only sour ce for all future postings and documents related to the IMOD acquisition.
