Description
The U.S. Army Applied Aviation Technology Directorate (AATD) intends to award a contract for five (5) AN/AVX-4 Fast Tactical Imagery (FTI) II Photo Reconnaissance Intelligence Strike Module (PRISM) Systems and Engineering Support Services and the ins tallation of the PRISM on U.S. Army Apache attack helicopter. A Firm-Fixed Price contract utilizing FAR Part 12 procedures and with an anticipated award date of April 12, 2005 is contemplated. The intended source is PhotoTelesis Corporation, 700 Lincoln Ce nter, 7800 IH 10 West, Suite 700, San Antonio, TX 78230-4750. PhotoTelesis Corporation developed the PRISM and it is currently operational on numerous Army, Navy and Air Force aircraft providing the capability for image capture, compression, transmission, reception and display in the cockpit. An early version of the PRISM is currently installed on A-model Apaches and the system is interoperable with the Army Lightweight Video Reconnaissance System; Army, Navy and Air Force aircrafts; Navy aircraft carriers and numerous users of the Imagery Communication Environment software application. The PRISM is National Imagery Transmission Format Standard (NITFS) Version 2.0, Level 3 certified and meets the Joint Technical Architecture-Army (JA-A) Version 6.5 requireme nts. PhotoTelesis is the only known source that produces the AN/AVX-4. This notice is not a request for proposals; however, all responsible sources may submit a proposal, which will be considered by this agency. Proposals submitted in response to this noti ce are due no later than March 7, 2005, 2:00 pm EST. Proposals shall be submitted to the Aviation Applied Technology Directorate, Attn: AMSRD-AMR-AA-C (W.
