- The Billy Mitchell Chapter (BMC) of the Association of Old Crows, along with support from the Joint Information Operations Center, the Air Force Information Warfare Center (AFIWC), Air Intelligence Agency, the 67th Information Operations Wing, the 563 Flying Training Squadron, and sponsorship of Southwest Research Institute, TITAN and the Alamo Chapter of AFCEA, will present the 14th FIESTACROW technical symposium. FIESTACROW 05 will be held April 17–20, 2005 in San Antonio, Texas. The theme of the symposium is “Global War On Terrorism and Its Impact on Information Operations”. It will continue the tradition of a leading edge technical program providing the attendees with a challenging look at the GWOT impact on the US critical information infrastructure and influence operations used to shape global operations against terrorism. The program will also address the larger issue of Information Operations (IO) as a component of active military operations against terrorism. Speakers for the program include: General (Ret) Gene Habiger, Brig Gen Richard Newton, DDGO Joint Staff, Rear Admiral Thomas Zelibor, STRATCOM J3, Thomas Kelly, Chairman of Science and Technical Committee, Office of Naval Intelligence, Dr Jeffrey Addicott, S. Mary’s University – Terrorism Law Department, Vice Admiral (Ret) Mike McConnell and Lt Gen (Ret) Bob Noonam, Booz Allen Hamilton. The Grand Luncheon speaker on Wednesday will be Lt Col John Harris, Commander, 15th Reconnaissance Squadron. His topic will be “Predator - Combat Operations … from Home”. In conjunction with the technical sessions, there will be no cost tutorial sessions on Monday afternoon, Tuesday morning and Wednesday morning. The tutorials on Monday afternoon will be “The Pillars of Information Operations” presented by the AFIWC and “The Global War on Terrorism: The Way Ahead” presented by Mr. John Rendon. On Tuesday morning, “The National Geo-Spatial Intelligence Agency Support to Homeland Security” presented by Mr. Bert Beaulieu, Director of Americas, National Geo-Spatial Intelligence Agency and “The Electronic Warfare Coordination Cell Concept, Operation Iraqi Freedom to the Present”, presented by Lt Col Stephen Brown, Commander, 453rd EWS will be provided. On the final day, Wednesday morning, the tutorials will provide insight into the “Human Factors in the Global War on Terrorism” by Col (Ret) Frank Goldstein and an Information Operations Briefing by RAND. Updated information on the subject for each tutorial and presenter will be provided on the Fiestacrow Web site: http://www.fiestacrow.com/. The exhibits area will be open Monday, April 18, 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM, Tuesday, April 19, 12:00 PM – 7:00 PM, and Wednesday, April 20, 2:00 PM – 5:00 PM. Following FIESTACROW, Air Intelligence Agency will host a classified Industry Day on 21 April. FIESTACROW 05 technical program is held in conjunction with the San Antonio Fiesta.
