- PERFORMANCE OF WORK FOR CLEANING SERVICES AT CHILD DEVELOPMENT CENTER AIR STATION CAPE COD, MA 1.1 SCOPE OF WORK The Contractor shall provide all supervision, labor, tools, materials, transportation, equipment and services as in accordance with below requirements to clean Child Development Center from 01 March 2005 through 30 September 2005. HOURS OF OPERATION: The work under this contract shall normally be performed between the hours of 4:30 pm and 6:00 pm, local time, Monday through Friday (excluding Federal Holidays) inclusive. The Government estimates to clean approximately 7,719 square feet of cleanable area and 6,610 square feet of carpet and hard floors. If the Contractor requests to performed work outside of these hours a written notification shall be submitted for approval at least 3 days in advance to the Contracting Officer. 1.2 CONDITIONS OF WORK/PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENT 1.2.1 GENERAL, PRIVATE OFFICES, LOBBY AND LOUNGE FIVE TIMES PER WEEK (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday) ? Empty wastebaskets. ? Clean and sanitize drinking fountains. ? Spot clean desktops. ? Spot clean reception lobby glass including front door and any other partition or door glass. ? Damp mop resilient and hard floors, or vacuum carpet floors in their entirety. ? Spot clean spills and stains on carpeted and resilient floors. ? Will provide replacement paper products to include, toilet paper, hand towels, and trash liners for wastebaskets. 1.2.1a WEEKLY (Friday) ? Dust all furniture including desks, chairs and tables. ? Dust all exposed filing cabinets, bookcases and shelves. ? Dust all telephones. ? Clean entire interior glass in partitions and doors. ? Low dust all horizontal surfaces to hand height (70 degrees) including sills, ledges, moldings, shelves, picture frames, duct and radiators. (1st Work Day of the WEEK). ? High dust all and low dust all horizontal surfaces, including shelves, moldings and ledges. (4th Workday of the week). ? Remove dust and cobwebs from ceiling areas. (4th Workday of the Week). 1.2.2 WASHROOMS FIVE TIMES PER WEEK (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday) ? Clean, sanitize and polish all vitreous fixtures including toilet bowls, urinals, and hand basins. ? Clean all glass and mirrors. ? Empty all containers, and disposals, insert liners as required, spot clean and sanitize container. ? Empty and sanitize interior or sanitary container. ? Spot clean all walls, doors and partitions. ? Refill all dispensers to normal limits-napkins, soap, tissues, towel, liner, seats holder, cups, supplies to be furnished by Contracting Officer?s Technical Representative. ? Sweep, damp, mop, and sanitize hard floor. ? Will provide paper products to include, toilet paper and hand towels. 1.2.2a WEEKLY ? Low dust all horizontal surfaces below 36? including sills, moldings, ledges, shelves, frame, ducts and heating outlets. ? High dust above hand height all horizontal surfaces including shelves, ledges and molding. 1.2.2b EATING AREAS FIVE TIMES PER WEEK (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday) ? Damp clean and sanitize tabletops, seats and back of chairs. ? Empty all containers and disposals. Spot clean exterior and interior of all containers. ? Clean and sanitize drinking fountain. ? Spot clean doors, frames, light switches, kick and push plates, handles, walls and interior. ? Clean entire interior glass in partitions and doors. ? Clean stairways and basement floors. Sweep with broom. ? Dust mop or vacuum resilient and hard floors. ? Damp mop resilient and hard floors. ? Vacuum carpeted floors in their entirety. 2.0 LOCATIONS The work specified takes place at the Coast Guard Child Development Center Building 5205 at Coast Guard Air Station Cape Cod on the Massachusetts Military Reservation (MMR), MA 02542. 3.0 SANITATION FACILITIES The Contractor shall be permitted to use the existing facilities located in the Child Development Center. 4.0 SITE VISIT Offerors are encouraged to visit the site and take such steps as may be necessary to ascertain the nature and exact location of work. Failure to visit the site for this purpose does not relieve the offeror from the responsibility for properly estimating the difficulty or cost of successfully performing the work. Visits to the identified buildings shall be coordinated and arranged with SK1 Daniel Bartlett at (508) 968-6523. 5.0 POST AWARD CONFERENCE The contractor shall be required to attend a Post Award Conference with the Contracting Officer at the Facilities Engineering Building (5215), Coast Guard Air Station Cape Cod. The Contractor shall pay for all expenses incurred by him in this regard. Contract requirements and administrative procedures will be discussed. The contractor shall present any technical questions to the Contracting Officer in writing prior to the meeting. 6.0 BASE SECURITY After award and prior to start of work the Contractor shall provide documentation of a completed criminal background check on all employees who will work in the CDC. A complete list containing the full names, dates of birth, and social security numbers of all employees and representatives of the Contractor who requires access to the Child Development Center/Base will be supplied to Air Station Cape Cod Security Chief. All employees shall wear identification badges that can be referenced to this access list. If a person is working that is not on the access list then they shall be removed from the base immediately. In the event employees are hired or discharged, a corrected list of employees shall be furnished reflecting the change in person.
