Description

The Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division Newport intends to award a one year ?C? type contract with Firm Fixed Price (FFP) provisions on a Sole-Source basis to Spatial Integrated Systems, Inc. (SIS), 7524 Standish Place, Suite 100, Rockville, MD 20855 to obtain proprietary ?I-DEAS? software developed solely by UGS Corp. The Government plans to issue a request for written quote to SIS using FAR Part 12 and FAR Part 13 under the authority of USC 2304 (c)(1). The anticipated award date is 23 FEB 05. This action is being processed on a Sole Source basis due to the fact that ?I-DEAS? software is a proprietary item to UGS Corp. The renewal maintenance subscription shall include software updates. There are no substitutes available for these software services. No other vendors are approved to provide ?I-DEAS? software. Our department no longer issues solicitations or amendments in paper form. Instead, they may be accessed at our web site http://www.npt.nuwc.navy.mil/contract/. We also provide electronic access in our Bid Room.
