Description
Scope: The contractor shall provide medical transcription services for the Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Kansas City(hereafter referred to as KCVA or the government) in strict accordance with this contract. Medical transcription services shall be provided on an as-needed basis for dictated material that includes a high incidence of technical terminology, and requires a comprehensive knowledge of the specialized vocabulary particular to a wide variety of medical fields. Contractor will transcribe reports utilizing headers and footers (Attachment 1) and appropriate formats (Attachment 2). Contractor will also transmit and/or upload completed reports to KCVA using transmission and batch protocols provided by KCVA. Systems: Contractor shall transcribe medical dictation in a variety of computer generated and/or formatted reports, letter perfect and ready for physician?s signature. Dictations to be transcribed by the Contractor include, but not limited to: discharge summaries, operation reports, clinic operation reports, hemodialysis reviews, compensation and pension exams, social work summaries, history and physical exams, and other miscellaneous reports as directed by Health Information Management and/or Diagnostic Imaging personnel. Below is a description of the dictation method utilized at the KCVA Medical Center: Kansas City, MO Dictaphone iChart with Voice Recognition component Contractor will be provided access to this system by Dictaphone. Experience: This Solicitation is restricted to only Transcription Contractors that have CURRENT VA Transcription experience and CURRENT VA Computer access to the VPN Computer network, already established. Successful bidder shall work with Dictaphone I-Chart personnel to establish all protocols with Dictaphone?s I-Chart computer system. Dictaphone will provide to successful bidder all necessary software, training and logist support needed to establish this protocol with Dictaphone?s I-Chart Dictation and Document Management System being contracted for by the VA. NOTE: ANY COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH THIS SUPPORT WILL BE BETWEEN CONTRACTOR AND DICTAPHONE. Term: Services are required for one year commencing on the date of contract award, plus four additional option years. Prices All Inclusive: Any equipment, material, training (as defined in Paragraph 24, Contractor Training of VA Staff) or other services required in the performance of this contract for which a price is not specifically identified by the Contractor will be considered to be included in the price of another item or provided at no cost to the Government, unless otherwise specified herein. This Solicitaton is a total small business set-aside.
