Description
RH050190100000, NSN 6140-01-378-8232, Storage Battery, in accordance with Optima Battery Inc., CAGE: 0UJ55, P/N 800S. Specifications, plans, or drawings relating to the procurement are not available and cannot be furnished by the Government. This is being procured as other than full and open competition under 10 USC 2304(c)(1), Unrestricted Procurement. This lead-acid, sealed, starved electrolyte battery is a commercial-off-the-shelf item with a 24 month shelf-life. Material Safety Data Sheets are required. This is a solicitation for a proposed Indefinite Quantity Contract (IQC) with a base year and four option years. The guaranteed minimum is 1196 EA, FOB Destination, Inspection/Acceptance Destination, QAP-251. The estimated annual quantity is 4784 EA. Requested delivery is 32 days ARO. This solicitation includes a surge requirement for a total surge quantity of 942 EA and contractors will be required to submit a surge plan detailing how they intend to meet both the schedule quantity and the surge quantity requirements. Solicitation may be available for issue on or about February 25, 2005 and close on or about March 27, 2005. The final contract award decision may be based upon a combination of price, past performance, and other evaluation factors as described in the solicitation.
