- The USDA, Forest Service, Southern Region is soliciting quotes for Call-When-Needed (CWN) Helicopter Services with companies whose homebases are located in the following states/territory: Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, and Puerto Rico. The resultant contracts will consist of one (1) base year and two (2) option years. Obtain services of Type III Helicopters, fully operated by qualified personnel and equipped to meet specifications for use in administration and protection of Public Lands. Helicopters furnished will be used for fire support, project, law enforcement, and administrative flights. The Contractor must agree in writing to perform law enforcement flights. The Government has interagency and cooperative agreements with state agencies and private landholders and may dispatch aircraft under resultant contracts for such cooperative use. The solicitation will be open to large and small businesses. All responsible sources may submit a quote, which shall be considered by the agency. The solicitation will be posted to FebBizOpps on/or around March 4, 2005.
