Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is seeking offers for design and construction of a bed addition at the VA Medical Center, San Juan, Puerto Rico. This is an unrestricted procurement which will be accomplished through a Two-Step procurement method. Step 1 will be the Technical/Qualifications Phase. Proposals for this step are due by 3:30 PM EST on April 6, 2005. The Step 1 evaluation will result in a determination of the top three proposals within the Competitive Range. Step 2 will involve development of design material and submission of price and scheduling information by firms determined within the Competitive Range. Award will be made using the Best Value Method. The bed addition includes about 210,000 SF of new construction and some remodel work in an adjacent building. The cost range is between $55,000,000 and $100,000,000 with a NAICS code of 233320 / a small business size of $28.5 Mil. Step 1 documents will be available on or about February 25, 2005.
