- Description
- The Office of Air Force History (AF/HO) intends to award a requirement for a professional historian. Potential services include research and write a historical manuscript tentatively entitled: Andrews: Architect of Air Power. All notices and any/all amendments will be posted and available for viewing on this site (www.eps.gov). The DRAFT STATEMENT OF WORK (SOW) is provided for your comments and questions. In addition to your SOW comments and questions please provide a limited capabilities statement. The capabilities statement should also indenify your small business classification. All prospective offerors interested in submitting proposals must have a Commercial and Governments Entity (CAGE) code and must be registered with the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) http://www.ccr.gov/ or by calling 1-888-227-2423. The primary purpose of the Sources Sought Synopsis (SSS) notice is to improve small business access to acquisition information and enhance competition. This potential requirement is being posted on FedBizOpps. The Government?s intent is to solicit for this potential contracted requirement. When posted, the SSS can be accessed by following the DoD (Department of Defense), Department of the Air Force (USAF), Direct Reporting Units, and 11th CONS, Bolling AFB FedBizOpps website links. It is imperative that interested parties view this site frequently for the posting of and any updates to this requirement. THERE IS NO SOLICITATION AVAILABLE AT THIS TIME. This request is for planning purposes only, and does not constitute an Invitation for Bids, a Request for Proposals, a Solicitation, or a Request for Quotes. This notice does not obligate the Government to award a contract nor does it obligate the Government to pay for any proposal preparation costs. The Government shall not reimburse respondents for any costs associated with submission of information or reimburse expenses incurred to interested parties for responses to this sources sought synopsis notice. The Government?s intent is to make one award for providing these services to AF/HO located at 229 Brookley Avenue, Bolling AFB, and Washington DC 20032-7040. There is no requirement for handling of classified material. Contractor shall be capable of providing professional historian services. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 711510 Professional Services.
