- This synopsis is being posted to both the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) page located at http://www.eps.gov and the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line (NECO) site located at http://www.neco.navy.mil. While it is understood that FBO is the single point of entry for posting of synopsis and solicitations to the Internet, NECO is the alternative in case FBO is unavailable. Please feel free to use either site to access information posted by the Navy Sea Systems Command. The Government intends to modify, on a sole source basis from Mid Atlantic Communications, 68A Cool Springs Road, Fredericksburg, VA 22404, a Maintenance Plan for Kenwood products under Contract N00178-04-D-1001, which includes corrective maintenance and replacement equipment (to include two updated models, Kenwood TK2180 and Kenwood TK7180) as needed for all equipment, and systems of NSWCDD Security Department. The equipment includes handheld radios, mobile and base stations, consoles, and antennas ! on the towers. The contractor must be an authorized Kenwood distributor for repairs and purchases; an authorized Teleware dealer; an authorized Transcript dealer with the ability to install, code, and change out encryption boards on-site; and certified on the ORBACOM T5 Control Console. They must also be authorized to purchase Motorola parts. Maintenance/repair on critical and emergency items require a 24-hour/7 day week coverage with a one-hour response time. The North American Industry Classification System code is 811213 with a size standard of $6.0M. A written solicitation will not be issued. All interested parties may submit responses by identifying their interest and capabilities to Contracting Officer, Attn: XDS117/Bldg 183/Room 102, Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division, 17320 Dahlgren Road, Dahlgren, Virginia 22448-5100 or by fax at (540) 653-7478 or via email XDS11@nswc.navy.mil . Closing date is 17 February 2005. Modification will be made 18 Fe! bruary 2005. The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division, Dahlgren Laboratory Procurement Division has implemented Electronic Commerce (EC) in the acquisition area, therefore the synopsis will be available on the World Wide Web at http://www.nswc.navy.mil/supply as well as FEDBIZOPPS. DoD will no longer award contracts to Contractor not registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database. Registration may be done by assessing the CCR Web site at http://www.ccr.gov. A paper registration form may be obtained from the DoD Electronic Commerce Information Center at 1 (800) 334-3414.
