Description
This solicitation is a Request for Quote (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Circular (2001-24). This requirement is set aside for small business. The associated North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for the procurement is 237130 and the Small Business size standard is $28,500,000.00. Vicksburg Consolidated Contracts Office, Vicksburg, MS has a requirement for a firm fixed price type contract for Procurement and Installation of Telecommunication Cable. Work shall consist of furnishing all parts, labor and materials for the following: Th e Corps of Engineers is in need of a fifty(50) pair core filled telecommunication cable twenty four(24) gauge(ANMW) to be placed aerial from the west side of the Harbor at Vicksburg, MS to the east side. All cable will be on joint use poles owned by the g overnment. Approximately 6000 ft of construction will be required; approximately twenty poles will be attached to with necessary guides to be placed by successful bidder. The east end will be spliced into a fifty pair protector with gas tube protection; t he west end will be spliced to an existing underground section. All necessary cross connections will be placed to ensure total connectivity to the terminal located at the Corps of Engineers Boat Communication room. All work will meet Aerial industry stand ards, National Electrical Code for joint use poles and all other safety codes for aerial placing. The employee utilized for the work function will have a minimum of three (3) years experience/back ground with outside plant. Proof of membership in the Nat ional Association of Radio Telecommunication Engineers or BICIS is required.
